InterNetX is participating in the 42nd ICANN Public Meeting from October 23 to 28, 2011 in Dakar, Senegal.
BAVARIA, GERMANY, October 26, 2011 /DotCom PR News/ -- Three times a year The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) hosts public meetings in different regions of the world. The 42nd public meeting will be held in the hotel "Le Meridien" in Dakar from October 23 to 28, 2011. The focus of the meeting will be the ICANN guidelines and procedures. Technical questions regarding the operation of the Internet and the Domain Name System (DNS) will be dealt with. Participants can also hope for answers concerning the new domain extensions. The gTLD Applicant Guidebook on the soon to be introduced new TLDs was published in the course of the last public meeting in Singapore.
"As an ICANN-accredited registrar, it is important for us to participate in the decision making processes of ICANN. In respect to the introduction of the new TLDs, this meeting is the ideal opportunity for us to get involved in the discussion and to share our views with the decision makers", explains Hakan Ali, Sales and Marketing Director at InterNetX.
The new gTLDs will continue to be a major topic at the public meeting.
